Shopify (NYSE: SHOP) is a Canadian e-commerce company founded in 2006 by Tobias Lütke, Daniel Weinand, and Scott Lake. Originally created to support the founders’ online snowboard business, Shopify became a platform to let merchants set up and manage their online stores. It has tools for inventory management, payment processing, marketing and shipping.
The company offers a subscription based service with plans for all sizes of business, from small startups to large enterprises.
