In Front's ecosystem
Front was founded in 2013 by Mathilde Collin and Laurent Perrin. It delivers an AI-powered Customer Service Platform that combines shared inboxes, omnichannel ticketing, live chat, knowledge base, automation and analytics in one familiar, email-like workspace, so support, success and account-management teams can collaborate in real time without juggling separate help-desk and CRM tools.
After several capital-efficient years, Front has raised just over $200 million, including a $65 million Series D in June 2022 that doubled its valuation to about $1.7 billion and now powers the daily operations of roughly 9,000 businesses worldwide, from fast-growing startups to members of the Fortune 25. Analysts estimate the company cleared the $70 million ARR mark in 2023, and in March 2024 co-founder Collin moved to Executive Chair as former Dialpad executive Dan O’Connell became CEO to steer the next leg of growth and formalize IPO readiness.
Front’s pace of innovation remains brisk: in 2024 it shipped more than 100 new features (including AI Answers, Suggested Replies and low-code Connectors), acquired Windsor.io and Idiomatic to deepen its generative-AI and voice-of-customer capabilities, and earned repeat spots on the Forbes Cloud 100, cementing its reputation as a modern, human-centric alternative to legacy help-desk suites.
